Verify a seal

The file is not uploaded. Your browser computes only two fingerprints locally (a cryptographic hash + a perceptual hash) and queries the public verification API with them. No image content leaves your device.

Result types: Original (bit-identical sealed) · Derived copy (same content, resized/ screenshot/re-compressed) · Registered — no verified device identity (the same bytes were registered, but who or what made the file is not verified) · Record found — proof did not verify (a record exists but is not provably in the log: treat it as unproven and escalate) · Not registered (never registered here — this does not mean the file was altered) · Proof Pack (identical to, or different from, the registered file). Original, Derived copy and an identical Proof Pack are only reported when the Merkle inclusion proof against the signed tree head checks out — recomputable offline, independent of StateNull.
New to Content Credentials (C2PA)? C2PA is the open industry standard (Adobe, Google, Microsoft, OpenAI, Sony, the BBC and more) that attaches a signed “who · what · when” label to a file at creation. It's powerful — but it lives in metadata a screenshot or re-upload can strip, and it proves origin, not truth. StateNull does not write a C2PA credential today. It records the file's fingerprint in its own registry instead — which is offline-provable and, unlike a metadata label, survives a screenshot or a re-upload that strips the metadata entirely.
